The' were well re wresented in the ournal, l H I j I I l I music, and athletic fields. Vppermost in the minds of all juniors was Fairyland the spring prom. The gossamer butterflies, giant toad stools, silvered trees, and huge summer flowers made a very picturesque setting. Bob Lipka's orchestra furnished the music for the dinner and dance. These energetic juniors worked hard to finance this anticipated event. Holiday Ifrolicf' the junior party held in December, was ii most successful event of the year. The class elected the following leaders: Preiidezzl ....................... ....... 'I oem Mochal I'if'e-Pi'e.i-fflezzf . . . . .Phyllis Schoelerman S6L'l'6'ffZ!'v1' .... .... SOPIIS STEP FORWARD It is during the sophomore year that the student begins to take a major part in all school activities. Here he is taught cooperation and develops his own individual talent in the fields of music, athletics. or journalism. The sophomores of 1947 are an excellent illustration of a model class. Undoubtedly, Sweetheart Swing. the Sophomore Class party. was one of the most outstanding events on the schools social calendar. It was the result of careful planning and united effort. These students were elected by the juniors to serve at the annual junior-Senior Prom: jack Evans, Roger Hill, Ben Jones, Bill Kriegel, Joe Ledvina. Tom O'Con- nor, Don Ollman, Hubert Rehik, Gary Stigers, Ann Peters, Patty Guy, Mary Lou Houdyshell, Estella Millard, Mary jo Prochaska, Elaine Rebik, Jeanette Tesar. and Betty Vail. The following were chosen class officers: Don Ollman. president: Gary Stigers, vice-presidentg Madelene Todd. treasurerg Eugene Younghear, secretary: Mr. Fetrow, class sponsor. 'lfllf mu: D. Bent, M.
