Lis- Presitisntr Tl, Hynek, Vice-Presi FILMFANATIC CLUB The Filrntanatic Club was organized in the fall of '35 under the direction of Mr. H. T. Hurley. Through it we learned how to develop, print and enlarfie pictures. We also learned to stay in total darkness tive rninutes without tearing the Hbogey n1an . This club is the only one in high school that does not seek new rnernbers. Students who wish to Join rnust make application to the otticers and sponsor and then the club rnust vote to accept or to reject the applicant. NORMAL TRAINING CLUB This club, consisting ot rnenibers oi the Norrnal Training Department, with officers elected at the beginning of the school year, has chosen to 3-ertorzn three duties: service, social and professional. ln service, they were in charge oi decorations for the school building during the Christmas season. Each inonth they have a social nieeting, one ot which was enteriaining the sophornore pupils who have enrolled for the Normal Training Course. ln professional lite, they plan to discover more about rural teaching, its rnethods, and tfoblexns. GIRLS' GLEE CLUB The Girls' Cflee Club had a very successful year under the direction oi Miss Margaret She-riixazi. The large nurnber ot candidates for rnernbership in the Club :nade the inatchiiig ci voices ?CSSlClQ. Hansel and Gretelf' an operetta, was presented early in the school year. The Club sang at a nuznber ot local functions, participated in the Subdistrict Music Contest at Waterloo, took part in the broadcast proaram over KSIB at Marshalltown, and rnade its last appearance at the Conirnencernent Exercises. MIXED CHORUS The Mixed Chorus was oraanized in order that a larqer aroup ot those musically inclined rniaht be able to coznpete in the Music Contest than would have been able to do so otherwise. The Chorus was directed by H. T. Hurley.
