Out on the tietct were some leaders in toottaatt. t titced to watch Dicti fiarretfs good Sportsman-tilce manner and were heaten 21-6. .toe was still unahte to play so we drove up and in spite ot our toss we had a nice evening in Fresno. The spirit stirred up hy the dinner rally hetore the Visalia game on 04'- toher 27 helped the Cougars to win with a score ot 23-0. fln the next Friday, our spirits werentt up to par and we lost the conterence champion- ship to Portervitte. The Armistice Day game re- sulted in a deteat ot 20-0 due to an out-weighed team--hut such are sports. The game was in the atternoon so we carried out the holiday spirit that night with a party. The last game ot course was with our big rival-Batcersltietd. The Rene- gades were a strong team, hut our team tought the hardest hattte ot the season to hold the score down to 0f0. t don't thintc t have ever heen quite so excited at a toothatt game. The rooting sec- tions were going strong especiatty when our team held the rival team down on the inches line. .toe and t went to the school dance and came home hoarse and tired, hut glad we could tatie part in such an enthusiastic hattte. his high spirit. He was captain and in every game he did his hest to inspire the players. Joe and t join with the many others who agree that he is the righttut owner ot the inspiration award.
