1 SYOSSET HIGH SCHOOL CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2 TOWN OF OY.TlR .AY SOUTH woobs ROAD SYOSSET. N. Y. WILLIAM C. FRENCH PRINCIPAL To the Class of 1959 You are about to leave us, so it is to you that this message is directed. Those of you who claim Woodbury School as a part of your past, or have been with us these last two years, will know well my meaning when I say we have come a long way together. Syosset High School has grown in size, but most important, it has become a well-respected institution The credit for this advance is due as much to the student leadership as it is to any other single factor. The members of the Senior Class have played their role well. hhere do you go from here? As a class, you will be scattered to various schools, colleges and jobs. As adults you will carry numberless responsibilities. We, your teachers and administration, feel you are well prepared for these responsibilities. we will not soon forget you, our first class, and we will be following your successes with interest and pride. Vin 'QVWA' , K- if WCF:pa Dr. William C. French, Principal, Syosset High School ,ir HUl'K!lWHFl

Everybody, absolutely everybody, knows Mr. Kupec. You couldn't help but see him in the halls. lf you belonged to any organization, he was bound to show up at one of your meetings. If you went to the assemblies, he'd be there too. If you just happened to wander about lwith a pass, of coursel, you'd see him. But, if you had to see him in his office when it was a matter of life and death to find him, this guy would find the darnedest places to hide. The Main Office, truly a hub of activity in Syosset, served as a clearing house for a constant stream of assorted characters: students, visitors, teachers. If you wanted a notice in the bulletin, you went to the Main Office. If you were late, illegally absent, in line for some citation, or after an interview with some VIP, you went . . . to the Main Office. If you couldn't get to see Dr. French, you could always see Mrs. Miley at the switchboard. lf you couldn't get a response from Mrs. Miley, you could always ask Mrs. Aloisio .... lf you couldn't see Mrs. Aloisio .... MAIN CFFICE
