1. HULL SAFETY REPORTS: DCPO's are reminded that hull safety reports are due by
1130 on 28 February 1972.
2. 102 SAVINGS DEPOSIT PROGRAM: When we deploy for the Med everyone on board is
eligible to deposit money in the 102 Savings Deposit Program. You may deposit your
pay in two ways CID by allotment C25 by depositing it with the Disbursing Officer.
The following rules apply:
al Deposits earn interest at 102 compounded quarterly.
bl Money deposited by the 10th of the month earn interest from the first of the
cb The limit on the amount you may deposit is your HUnallotted Current Pay and
Allowancesu in amounts of S5 or more, in multiples of S5. HUna1lotted Pay
and Allowancesu is defined as the amount a member is entitled to
receive on the payday immediately before the date of deposit. Pay and
allowances include reenlistment bonus, travel allowance on discharge, and
pay and allowances for unused accrued leave.
dD Once money is deposited you may not withdraw it until we return to the states.
Upon return you may withdraw it at any time fit will continue to accrue
interest at 102 for 90 days after arrival in the states.D
