Every morning Huff,' can be seen struggling in the schoolroom with his arm full of books. Huff has often been seen in the neighborhood of Churchville Ceme- tery, however, Huff, has a competitor, a fel- low by the name of Merle Keim. And although both are very good friends they have a jealous feeling toward one another. They both like the same girl. In ending we wish to say that Huff is a fine boy, all around athlete, and an exceptionally bright student. 5 AUSTIN HARRY HADLEY HUNGRY HADLEYU Eats, Eats, Eats, But mostlysweet meats. Sveniurz ELLEN J. BOLAN HON UJOSIAHN The Voice with a Smile Wins HONORS School: Varsity Basket Ball 11, 3, 45 Captain 135, Manager 145: Librarian 125 First Semes- ter: Secretary Athletic Association 13, 45 Second Semesters: Secretary Executive Com- mittee of Athletic Association 135: Secretary Student Council 135. Literary Society: Secre- tary 12, 3, 45 Second Semesters: Treasurer 135 First Semester: Chorister 13, 45 Second Semesters: Glee Club 135. Class: Secretary 11, 2, 3, 45: Dramatic Club 13, 45: Associate Editor of Swatter. MY STARS Y f Y S Ellen is the Smiling Girl of our class, coming from Oberlin. Although Ellen gets the night-mare sometimes and suddenly awakens the rest of the family by yelling, Oh Merle! Oh Merle!! she is usually wide awake. Probably this accounts for her success in Basket Ball. Ellen also has difficulty in keeping the fellows away, but she has iinally concluded that among all the lovers that she has met Merle is the best. Ellen's chief object is to become a school teacher, in which profession we predict a wonderful future for her. Hd MABEL ETHEL BOLAN 'tSLoWnz I gazed and gazed, but little thought. HONORS School: Varsity Basket Ball 13, 45. Literary Society: Assistant Secretary 145 First Semes- terg Glee Club 1.35. Class: Dramatic Club 13, 45. Aw GWVANN Slowie hails from the back woods of Oberlin. Her weakest subject is English, due to the fact that Cap O'Neal, a back woods- man from the hamlet of Chamber Hill, sits next to her during that period. Slowie's favorite habit is to send Valentines to a cer- tain young gentleman, telling him that there is an empty hook in her father's front hall for his hat. M:1ble's ideal is to become a school mar'1n.' In this profession we predict a pros- perous future as she certainly can handle Kids, especially Enhaut first graders.

EDNA IRENE' IIOCKER HBLONDIICU Shu looks quiet, but Oh My. ' Hoxolcs Literary Society: Assistant Secretary C333 Class: Treasurer tl, 2, 3, 43, Dramatic C'lub 1333 Secretary of Junior and Senior Hook Club 143. I'r's A C1:1A11c Allow us to introduce the blonde beauty of our class, Edna Irene Hooker. Hailing from Oberlin may possibly account for her beauty. GLENN LUTHER LAUDENSLAGER 'tSLH'TY Lzttle boys should be scan but not heard. HONIJRS '-345116 appears to-be one of the tmost-quiet and- sedate girls in the class but looks in many cases are deceiving. She is seen frequently with the opposite sex, especially the tall and handsome members. Her worst habit is blurt- ing out answers to questions in French class before being called upon. However, we feel sure that she will be very successful as a nurse. Hd School: Varsity Basket Ball C3, 435 Reserve B'asket Ball Manager 1233 Reserve Basket Ball Cl, 233 Varsity Baseball 12, 3. 43, Captain 143, Manager 6333 Student Council 643g Literary Society: Editor fl, 33 Second Semesters, As- sistant Editor 123 Second Semesterg Chorister f43.First Semester, Glee Club 133. Class: Dramatic Club C33. LIs'rEN HERE Kin This short bow-legged little fellow is a finished product of the Enhaut Grammar School being exported to our sam-red halls in the year of nineteen hundred and nineteen. Glenn has somewhat been attracted by the fair sex the last few years. His latest song hit is as fol- low, There are no ilies on us, There are no flies on us, There may be flies on Sarah Wise, But there are no flies on us. Gee! but this gets Glenn's goat. To make a long story short We can say that Glenn is an unmerciful heart breaker, an excellent athlete, a fine all-around boy, and an excellent though absent minded student. We wish him good luck in the future. ..12m
