Fair Games '87 gave stu- dents a chance to release some built up hostilities while at the same time having fun. It also gives the audience team members a chance to laugh at ourselves. To partici- pate in a Fair Game activities requires no special athletic ability, but only a committ- ment to having fun! And fun is what the audience and participants have. The games were under the chairmanship of Student Council President Eric Butler. The winning team enjoyed their prize of a pizza lunch on Friday of Homecoming Week. 23

The 1987 Homecoming Parade once again brought excitement to downtown Swanton. The traditional parade began at Park School continued through downtown with Grand Marshall Lewis Taylor leading the way. The parade concluded at the back of the high school for the electrifying bonfire. During the parade, the class floats were judged with the Sophomore winning first place, with the Jun- iors second. Freshman third, Seniors com- ing in fourth place. Included in the line-up were the combined Swanton High Junior High School Bands, Police Department, Cheerleaders, Firetruck, Rescue Squad. This year's Parade Bonfire was under the chairmanship of Sophomore Shane Schmidt. Arrangements began in early summer. Serv- ing as MC for the bonfire was Mr. Ron Dixon. During the bonfire, the announcement was made as to who would rule over the festivities. (l-r, t-b) Sink The Titanic was the battle cry of the Junior class. King Queen (Matt Carrick Kim Estes) posing for their fans. Going with an uptown beat, the Seniors rocked downtown. Our spirit reached new heights during the bonfire.
