Nicolaus was Too good Tor us and puT our pennanT hopes on The shelT Tor anoTher year. ln The lasT game of The year SuTTer proved iTs meriT by deTeaTing WheaTland, 45 To 15. Even Though SuTTer did noT win a pennanT, They had a good season. Playing sixTeen games lincluding pracTice gamesl, They losT only six. Under Ihe supervision of Coach Wagner and his assisl- ani, Mr. Behnlce, many diliferenl plays were given which Suffer used slcillfully for six wins and one deleal. The only deleal being when Live Oak be-al us by a score of I8 Io I4. This game, however, was avenged when we played Live Oalc again Ialer in Ihe season and beal Ihem by a score of ZI Io 8, which pul us in a Irie wi'rh Live Oalc. An agreemeni was made belween Ihe coaches of Suller and Live Oak, Suffer was elecled Io play Durham in a seclional playoff. The playoff game was played a+ Durham on a wel, muddy field. Even Ihough 'rhe Iield was muddy and Ihe praclices had been few, Suffer I-Iuslcies won Ihe game by a score of 25 To O, Ihis going down in Suffer I-Iigh's Ioolball hislrory as one ol Jrhe besl Ioolball seasons Ihis school has had.
