The band has played an imporTanT role ThroughouT The school year by playing aT all school TuncTions. IT helped The morale oT The TooTball players and livened Things up beTween The guarTersg iT played an imporTanT parT in The annual carnival by playing beTween skiTs. A picked group Trom The band supplied The music Tor singing in one oT The skiTs. Then Too, The band has played aT all The home baskeTball games. The highlighT oT The band season was April 25, I945, when The band presenTed iTs annual concerT in The SuTTer High AudiTorium. IT was a very successTul evenT and gave The parenTs and oThers inTeresTed a chance To see whaT The band had accomplished during The year. The proceeds were given To The sTudenT body. A week beTore EasTer SuTTer High Band leTT on The bus Tor EasT Nicolaus, where They played wiTh The EasT Nicolaus Bandq Then The week aTTer EasTer EasT Nicolaus Band came To SuTTer Tor an exchange ioinT-session. Near The end oT The school year The band assisTed by playing Tor The high school and various grammar school graduaTions, making The musical year a compleTe success. CrediT should be given To The sTudenTs ThaT conTribuTed solos, dueTs, Trios and oTher numbers Tor various clubs and organizaTions oT SuTTer and The neighboring Towns ThroughouT The year. These were all ouTside acTiviTies and added much To The Tame oT The band. Much praise is due To The band members, and Tor Their success in playing, To Their leader, Mr. Warren Behnke.
