WQW' , , .. 9 b ' QM We came to Sunset four years ago as the first group of freshmen to enter Sunset's walls in the span of twenty-three years. We the Freshmen of four years ago are now the Seniors of 1980. My years at Sunset will always have a profound meaning to me, but definitely my senior year has so far been the most memorable and rewarding of all my school years combined. Through my office in the National Honor Society, I have learned responsibility and dedication, leadership, and confidence - important factors which I know will be requi-red by every person who intends to achieve a satisfying future. The experiences l've encountered through the Society will always be a priceless advantage to me. High school is the perfect opportunity to find one's self: to be able to branch out and find one's weaknesses and then to over- come them, to be able to make mistakes and learn from them, and finally to be able to excel. For myself, this chance has proven effective and l will be leaving Sunset as a much stronger person. Good luck to all, 01710, 1980 National Honor Society President The end of the first chapter of our lives has come. As seniors, we have completed several years of public education. As Bisons, we have been a part of many expe- riences which we will not soon forget. Sun- set has been great to us because we have tried our hardest to make it that way. I know it is sad to leave all the memories, friends, and great times behind, but they will be in our minds forever. And now the second chapter must begin. We must each go our own ways to make a life for ourselves. What we do in the future will depend on how well we've prepared ourselves in the past. I sincerely hope for the best for each one of you. Just remem- ber that through it all, in the years to come, we will all be able to share that one com- mon high point in our lives - that we are Sunset Seniors of '80. I pray God's blessings on each one of 1980 Senior Class President you. 1-I. f.. Opening 15 i if I
