Mrs. Helen Allen, new to Sunset this year, is secretary to the Senior Coun- selor. If you have been absent from school, you should he well acquainted with Mrs. Elizabeth James of the Dean's Office. Mrs. Pauline Conrad works in the Dean's Office as a clerk taking care of ahsentees. A long-time resident of Sunset is Mrs. Mary Reuscher, who is a secretarial assistant in the main office. Our principal's secretary is Mrs. Mildred Merriman was

The PTA Meets OBJECTS OF PTA To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, church and commu- nity. To raise the standards of home life. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To bring into closer rela- tion the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of the child. To develop between edu- cators and the general pub- lic such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education. PTA officers for 1959-1960 are, from left to right: Mrs. M. J. Broome, Mrs. T. W. Rutledge, Mrs. Clinton H. White, Mrs. L. H. Graves, Mrs. O. Q. Menzie, Mr. Delbert Willis, Mr. O. N. Moffett, Mrs. Warren Shoecraft, Mrs. C. A. Geist, Dr. John Miller, Mrs. Abe Meyer, Mrs. Henry B. Levine, Mr. Lowell Lockhart. The first meeting of the year draws a large crowd to meet Bison Herd representatives. Greeting parents and other Sunset sup- porters on Bison Night are Judy Jewett and Jane Overcash.
