Pll1'1illI7lf?11f6l1'id11 Sunset High School Parent-Teacher Association, organized in 1925, is the largest organization of its kind in the city, and one of the largest in the State. It holds member- ship with the National Congress of Parents and Teachers. the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers, and the Dallas City Council of Parent-Teacher Associations. A college scholarship for one year, which was voted last May to a deserving graduate of Sunset High School, has been paid this year. The motto of this Association is In essentials, unityg in non-essentials, libertyg in all things, charityf' Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at 10:00 A. hi. in Sunset High School Auditorium. Parents and teachers of all Sunset students are urged to become members, for they are wanted and needed. D Page 15

This pur- pose has been accomplished by promoting good fellowship among the parents, the faculty, and the student body and by supporting those things which have for their aim the better- ment of Sunset High School. Among other accomplishments during the 1937-38 term, the Dads Club has com- pleted the following specific objectives: a membership of over 750 meng an average attendance of more than 300g a Trafhc Safety School, with monthly class averaging around 100 in attendanceg the complete reconditioning of the Athletic Fieldg an addi- tional Trophy Caseg two artistic Stage approaches in the Auditoriumg numerous cash prizes for outstanding Student work, and an All-Sunset High Picnic Bison Round-up.
