Sam held down the field
general's job this year and
proved his worth in that
position. He was the passer
for Sunset, and his accuracy
in tossing the pigskin ac-
counted for many of Sun-
set's victories. Sam was
graduated in January.

Tackle
Seooml Tear
"Roughhouse', lived up
to expectations and turned
in one of the finest seasons
this year of all the Sunset-
tcrs who have played on the
gridiron. He was recognized
by leading sport writers all
over the state as the leading
tackle in the state.

Guard
Firft Tear
"Bob" crashed the linc-
up this year and played
a mighty hne brand of
football. Next year, his last
year in high school, he
should be one of the best
linesmen in the game and a
very valuable asset to thc
Sunset eleven.

"Ferdie" had a great year
this season and was recog-
nized as one of the best
centers in the game. He
entered every play with the
vim and vigor for which he
is known. "Ferdic" will be
back next year.

Second Tear
llill won his spurs last
year, and this year won the
rest of the outfit and the
admiration of the football
fans for his fine playing in
the line. There will be a
hole in the 1929 team when
he graduates.

Second Tear
-I. C. proved himself this
year and showed opponents
how to play football while
they opposed him. It was
a great year for "Twp",
but unfortunately for Sun-
set this will be his last year
with us.

Third Tear
Don was back in his reg-
ular position as guard this
year and effectively held his
end of thc line. Don is a
fine lineman and proved it
this year by his work. He
was a valuable member and
next year's team will be
hard put to hnd a man to
fill his place.
Firrt Them'
"Bi1lie" developed into
an all-round athlete this
year and proved he was
mighty clever in carrying
the ball. "He may be
small, but actions speak
louder than words.', Bill
will be missed next year-
we are sorry he won't be
back with us.

"VVoody" broke into the
lineup with a bang and kept
on breaking through oppos-
ing lines all year. With
that hard head of his pre-
ceding him, he goes through
the line Whether a hole is
there or not. He showed
he was a real football player
in every game.
