Their intellectual achievements in the fields of astronomy, medi- cine, and numerical' systems show the advance- ment of their education. For their posterity they left number systems similar to that of the Roman and Arabic numerals. Their ultimate achievement was a perfected calendar 400,000,000 years ago. Their high moral values showed up in their carv- ings also. Though their narratives were numer- ous, they proved unselfish in that personal ac- counts and glories were never accounted for. Through the pages of our book we wish to por- tray the philosophy and intelligence of the Aztecs - 5?
