L In Sixiu The seniors were not taking it easy all this time. The first Warrior was pub- lished in November with Beverly Cooke as editor. The DRUMBEAT staff elected the 1960 Miss DRUMBEAT. The honor was given to Linda Smith. She will represent the 1960 DRUMBEAT. Pictures were made, copy was written, and pie ce by piece the 1960 D RUMBEA T was beginning to fit into place. Miss Dixon introduced the senior class to Macbeth, and during the Christmas holidays everyone wrote a theme on the play. Our mid-term e x am s proved that brain work had beenxgoing on too in the past months. The finishing touches on the DRUMBEAT dummy were completed, and everyone waited anxiously for the return of the finished copy. Spring arrived with much excitement, atime anticipated each year--the banquet, a finished annual, a class play. Now, finally the most important thing. The seniors could all be heard singing around the eighth of June: There's a great day coming It's almost here, 'Twas a long, long time On the way. june 8, graduation- the most important day of any student's life. Enter to learn, leave to serve , may this motto be our steppingstone as the Class of '60 leaves to serve. 6 1 V Bn.
