ROACH, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GREENSBORO, in Commemoration of Our Forefathers of Yore, do Hereby Proclaim that All Members of the Male Sex residing within the Confines of Our City who are Capable of Such Manly Effort shall Refrain from Shaving from this Fateful Day and Further until the End of our Great Anniversary Celebration, May 2 through May 10. This shall also include Such Gentry as may line Without our Limitations but Who are gainfully employed Therein.
