CLASS POEM Our school days are ended, before us a new world lies. It is a challenge, the greatest of our lives. There ' s a vision ahead which we must follow; A new day is dawning—a great tomorrow. Through unknown vistas we ' ll travel far and wide, Where duty calls we ' ll go, whatever nay betide. ' Ve ' ll not be lonely when out on the road we ' ll fare, For you ' ll be in our memories—everywhere. Our days in high school will always happy be, Friends, classmates, and teachers, those dear to you and me. May we strive each day to do our best, Seeking the truth, leaving the rest. Doing each day ' s task with a heart that’s light, And a will that strives to do what is right. As we follow the trail through all our days, May our deeds be worthy of your kindest praise. One word more as we now depart, May the songs we sing linger in your hearts. We ' ll not falter when the road seems rough, When the day grows dark, and the going seems tough. And our goal seems further and further away, ■ 11 just watch for the dawn of a bright new day. v e 11 look ahead, when our faith grows weak, For the great ideal which we strive to seek.
