And the school grew: in wisdom and stature keeping pace with the growing oommnnity. And the school grew -No other words could be more suit- able to Summit High School this year than these. For this past fall, when the doors of the school swung open, the student body stepped into an edifice with a million and a half dollar addition. Proud, in deed, are we that the people of our community have taken interest in us and increased our educational facilities to such a great extent. For this reason we have incorporated this advancement into our '51 yearbook, for as our school grows, we grow. Here we are learning, working, and building for our futures. As you go through our yearbook, you will come upon particular verses of the poem below which has been written as a symbol of our growth and the importance of our educational development. For it is only through educational development that the youth of today will grow to be the citizens and leaders that will build he world of tomorrow. Editor. We grow: Not quickly, For growth which is perfect is slow. We learng And think wisely, And in wisdom and knowledge we'll grow. We work? For the future: For this troubled world that we know. We are needed To build ln a world That is filled With destruction-ee In a world that wants us to grow!
