WHY THE PURPLE AND GOLD The publications of Sullivan High School have gone by many different names. The Purple and Gold being the earliest one. Later the year book was called The Scroll and the paper, The Purple and Gold. When the annual was dis- continued for a few years, the seniors published a book of the magazine type. which they named The Saga. To maintain the tradition of the school we have called our 1940 publication The Purple and Gold.
