It takes a little courage And a little self-control And some grim determination, If you want to reach the goal. It takes a deal of striving And a firm and stern-set chin. No matter what the battle, If you really want to win. There’s no easy path to glory, There’s no rosy road to fame. Life, however we may view it. Is no simple parlor game; But its prizes call for fighting. For endurance and for grit; For a rugged disposition And a “don’t-know-when-to-quit.” You must take a blow or give one. You must risk and you must lose. And expect that in the struggle You will suffer from the bruise. But you mustn ’t wince or falter, If a fight you once begin. Be a man and face the battle— That’s the only way to win. —Anon 4

Dedication We of the class of 1960 are proud to dedicate our yearbook, the “Sagitta,” to our advisors. To Mrs. Ganiev and Mr. Kennedy who have been with us for ail six years goes our heartfelt gratitude for their understanding guidance. Our special thanks go to Mr. Shields who joined us in our senior year. Although he was only with us for one year, w ' e benefited from his experience, knowledge, and warm personality. This dedication would be incomplete without mention of Mr. O’Malley who, although he left us in our junior year, will always remain in our memory. Each has helped us through our high school career, guiding us, counseling us, and trying his best to make each of us a good citizen. We hope to prove with our lives that their efforts have not been in vain.
