Among the outstanding players were Bob Batchelder of Torrington- Fred Pro Andy Back- man Chick Lagan and Bill Clark of Bloomfield. Fay Williams of Springfield- Ed Fitzgibbons of Holyoke- and George Lees of West Hartford. On the 4th of October George Lees captained a victorious team to a 4-2 decision over an inex- perienced Kingswood school eleven. The follow- ing week Bill Clark and team out booted the Wil liston Academy team at Easthampton Massachu setts to the tune of 2 l On the following day the same team lead by Ed Fitzgibbons downed a hard charging aggressive Monson Academy team by a score of 3 l Four days later the team ran over its town rival Suffield High School un der the able leadership of Fred Pro the score being 4 O On October l8 Chick Lagan and the Suffield Academy booters brought the total to five victories in as many starts over Wilbraham Acad- emy in a pouring rain. Our boys proved to be good Mudders dominating the ball the entire game-winning by a score of 1-O. On the fol- lowing Monday Chet Kuras led the undefeated team to its sixth straight victory and its second over 'Suffield High--score 3-l. On October 23 Monson Academy was beaten 3-l with lohn and Eugene Fenton as co-captains. A week later the
