STITCH IN TIME 'Tis true that. A stitch in time saves nine, and it also saves money. Linder the guidance of Miss -loyce Bolt and the leadership of 'lane Cox, Presi- dent. and Evelyn Long. Treasurerg these girls worked hard and enjoyed it. At Christmas time, they made inexpensive gifts-covered coat hangers, stocking dolls and stuffed animals. The remainder of the year they worked on individual projects of their ovvn choosing. Some made aprons. others made broomstick skirts and dickeys. while others made things for the home. such as luncheon sets and pot-holders. THE MOVIE CLUB The Movie Club under the supervision of Mrs. Lorraine Holovvach met ev ery Tuesday afternoon in the projection room to enjoy movies on varied subjects. The club functioned in cooperation with Mr, Zvvartis Pfojcction Club which took care ofthe mechanical aspects of the program, THE SUB-DEB CLUB From the very first meeting. which was informal and gay. Miss Lee Ockler and her sub-debs found the time all too short to discuss the subjects which interest the .iv erage bobby-soxer. Discussions cov ered grind manners. introcructions, teas. dates. good grooming. neatness. care of the hair. of the skin and of the nails. when to begin using make-up. styles in clothes. hair styles. hobbies, radio and movies. At C,hristmas time, a few meetings were devoted to clisciissinig and displaying Christmas gifts. All sliovk ed interest in new permanents and new hair- dos of members Moreover. a decided improvement was noted in the appearance of these future Cila-mour Girls H 'And vve had so much fun? I BACHELORS' CLUB With Paul Roefs as President. and Miss Joyce Bolt as Adviser these boys learned how to live a bachelors life and like it. They prepared many things to please their fancy-fudge. biscuits. ginger- bread. cookies. pancakes. spaghetti and macaroni. One need only to look at them or watch them in a kitchen to see proof of their abilities. Q- H X.

GIRLS' SPORTS CLUB Adfirer .................................... Miss DORIS NAFIS The junior High Sports Club was very active this year. The members participated in soccer, speedball, kick baseball, basketball, dancing, stunts. apparatus and softball. The group divided into teams for each sport and developed competition which was very keen. BOYS' SPORTS CLUB Preridenz ................ EDWARD G. BRENTNALL - 8B Vice-Preiifient ............,..... Miss DORIS NAFIS The junior High School Girls' Leaders Club was organized to help with class and club sport activi- ties. The leaders met once a week to discuss rules and regulations of games. They also learned how to assist in teaching proper techniques in activities. They anticipated mistakes and learned correct methods. The girls of the club assisted in the physi- cal education classes, as captains, scorers, referees, timers, and group leaders. ARCHERY CLUB Adtiirer .............................. MR. GARDNER WATTS The Boys' Archery Club was started this year and will continue its activities in 1947-48. All shooting was done outdoors during the Fall and Spring months. Instruction was first given in the use of the bow, arrow, arm guards and nnger tabs. Individual con- tests were then held each week in shooting at regu- lation targets and in interclass archery tournament was held at the end of the year.
