MR, ROBERT BUEHLER The Model Club meets every Tuesday afternoon and is limited to boys in the junior High School. During the year the boys have built all types of model airplanes. MR. james CLJLLEN The purpose ofthe Art Club is to offer additional time in the art room for students who enjoy ari work, Members are allowed to spend their time as they desire. with all materials available for their use. This club has supplied many of the girls with interesting hobbies. Their efforts are centered around work in leather. wood and art metals, which may appeal to a girl. BOYS' SHOP Adrirer .................................. MR. HERMAN LARE The aim of this club is to carry on shop activities after boys have completed their work in regular classes. Unusual and interesting books have been brought in and reviewed by the members. During Book Xveek. the club had several exhibitions in the display cases. lt had been hoped that John J. Elo- herty. author of Inside the EBI .. would be here for an assembly. Just at that time. however, he was called to XY'ashington on 'orhcial business so the Book Club plans to have him this spring. if available. XYVALTER BABCOCK Adiiitr .......................... MR. GARDNER WATTS The Current Events Club is composed of pupils who are especially interested in news events of the world. and geography. XVeeklj.' reports were made on important news happenings and several historical exhibits were prepared. The 1946 elections, the work of the United Nations, and the breakup of Europes colonial empires were among the subjects studied and discussed. The club plans to increase its membership and expand its activities next year.

The members participated in soccer, speedball, kick baseball, basketball, dancing, stunts. apparatus and softball. Miss DORIS NAFIS The junior High School Girls' Leaders Club was organized to help with class and club sport activi- ties. The leaders met once a week to discuss rules and regulations of games. They also learned how to assist in teaching proper techniques in activities. They anticipated mistakes and learned correct methods. The girls of the club assisted in the physi- cal education classes, as captains, scorers, referees, timers, and group leaders. ARCHERY CLUB Adtiirer .............................. MR. GARDNER WATTS The Boys' Archery Club was started this year and will continue its activities in 1947-48. All shooting was done outdoors during the Fall and Spring months. Instruction was first given in the use of the bow, arrow, arm guards and nnger tabs. Individual con- tests were then held each week in shooting at regu- lation targets and in interclass archery tournament was held at the end of the year.
