Miss Doizorm' MIX The French Club, composed of students in the French classes, highlighted its yer's pro- gram with a trip to New York to see Cyrano de Bergerac. There were other trips. too, as well as activities such as games, singing of French carols and folk-songs, and projects on the history and culture of France. AQEWOQ BIOLOGY CLUB Admer ............................ MR. NEIL ABELL The Biology Club was formed so that the members of all the Biology classes would be given a chance to work on their required experiments once a week. To make it more convenient for the members, three groups were arranged, each met on a different day.

BERT LYON The Stage Lighting Club was a newcomer among student activities this year. and eighteen boys answered the first roll call. Their activities have been varied. ranging from setting the stage for assemblies to build- ing and painting scenery for the Senior and Dramatic Club productions. 'ik V, .ill 2. .We-i KNITTING CLUB Adz-rier .,...................... Miss BETTY DWYER Knitting starts in the club where one learns to cast On the progresses from there. The bulk of the masterpiece is knitted anywhere, at home, the classroom or lunch periods. Lost or droped stitches, the worry of every knitter are picked up in the halls-Or girls P.E. Oilice. Knitrers range from beginners to experts of many years. Among the finished products were mainly socks and mittens for beginners, sweaters, more intricate forms of socks and mittens for the more advanced needle wielders! BACHELORS' CLUB Admer ....,...,..... Miss DOROTHY WALKER With Senior boys as members, this club really progressed from soup to nuts. During the year, some of their culinary capers in- cluded biscuits, muffins. cookies of every size and shape, gingerbread, cakes, fudge, pizza pie, meat loaf, spaghetti dinners, and of course, the very masculine apple pie. The closing session of the club was devoted to a strictly bachelor dinner which the boys prepared and served themselves. I xA GLAMOUR CLUB Admer ............... Miss DOROTHY WALKER The ninth and tenth grade girls of Glamour Club worked On the various phases of groom- ing during their club periods. They practiced manicuring and hair styling, discussed cloth- ing, personal coloring, and the best way to wear make-up for facial types. A local beautician gave a demonstration of setting and styling hair, which was of great interest to the girls.
