BERT LYON The Stage Lighting Club was a newcomer among student activities this year. and eighteen boys answered the first roll call. Their activities have been varied. ranging from setting the stage for assemblies to build- ing and painting scenery for the Senior and Dramatic Club productions. Several of its members tool: part in the production. both in the cast and on the various crews. The years program called for the production of one-act plays. under student direction. in addition to the regular full- length spring play. ROBERT BUEHLER The Driving Club was instituted this year to Offer interested students the opportunity to learn correct driving practices and to get some experience behind the wheel. GERRIT ZwART All members of this club receive instruc- tions in every type of visual aids and provide projection facilities for many classroom pro- grams. Movies are shown in assemblies and also in the cafeteria during lunch periods, providing ainment and relaxation for the students. N X GIRLS' SHOP 49th-10th GRADESD DANCING CLUB Admer ............ MISS DOLORES LAVENBURG The Senior High Dancing Class has had, in the past, lessons and practice periods. This last year there were so many who had taken dancing lessons before that we tried using the period for a dancing practice period. This proved most successful. Most of our eighty members danced and there were few watchers. It is the hope of this club to become cquainted with some of the more common and tools and materials used in industry. ur efforts are centered around projects hich will appeal to a girl, in leather, art etals and wood. This club may also lead to very enjoyable hobby for some of the girls.

Miss DOROTHY Mix Through the Latin Club, whose meetings and activities took place during class periods, there was study, reading and discussion of the life and amusements of the ancient Romans, as well as the singing of Latin carols at Christ- mas-rime and the design of posters and cross- word puzzles. liiulliif Q-llitf FRENCH CLUB Admer ..........i........... Miss Doizorm' MIX The French Club, composed of students in the French classes, highlighted its yer's pro- gram with a trip to New York to see Cyrano de Bergerac. There were other trips. too, as well as activities such as games, singing of French carols and folk-songs, and projects on the history and culture of France. AQEWOQ BIOLOGY CLUB Admer ............................ MR. NEIL ABELL The Biology Club was formed so that the members of all the Biology classes would be given a chance to work on their required experiments once a week. To make it more convenient for the members, three groups were arranged, each met on a different day.
