Booster Club The Booster Club was organized early in the school year frcm the original membership, cheer leaders were chosen by the football squad. Additional members were elected by the classes. Club officers are: President, Margaret lean Ellis: Vice-President, Sue Gun- nellg Secretary and Reporter, Mickey Hanks: Treasurer, Rosemary Wittananer. This group has worked together to promote a spirit of cooperation and good sportsmanship between student body and the athletic deparment by at- tending out-of-town games, selling score cards at football games and re- freshments at basketball games. The club is sponsored by Principal C. F. Sanders. FUTURE HCDMEMAKERS OF AMERICA Toward New Horizons is the motto of the Future Homemakers of Amer- ica. The program is international in scope: membership extends to every state and possession of the United States. The Stuttgart Chapter with 53 members sponsored by Mrs. Ethel Adair, house economics teacher, is divided into three groups. Officers are: Section l. President, Doris Hicksg Vice-President, Charle Hemmep Secretary, Kathleen Kennedyg Treasurer, Marilyn Shaver. Section,2. President, Mickey Hanks, Vice-Presidentp Nancy Clary, Secretary: Louise Spellmeyer, Treasurery Mar' garet Shupe. Section 3. President, Ieannette Burtony Vice-President lane Hammansq Secretary, Betty Holbertg Treasurer, Billye Wills. Achievement for the year: sent two membersevlloris Hicks and Rosemary Wittenauer-to Camp Couchdaleg attended and participated in two district prograrnsg contributed S10 o War Reliefq mode 35 garments for foreign reliefy participated in Clothing Drive: held Hobby Show and tea for faculty. All sec- tions held monthly meetings following the suggestions outlined in the state program.

Librarians Club The l945-46 Library Club was formed December 5, l945. To be eligible students must work in the library. The purpose of the club is to help the stue dents and librarians, to respect the library and let it be the light of the school. The officers oi the club were elected and committees appointed President, Ioan Fotig Vice-President, Doris Hicks: Secretary and Reporter, Margaret Iean Ellis. Treasurer: Doris Bishop, Social Committee: Betty McCollum, Marilee Harp- er and Calvin Hagan. Program Committee: Doris Bishop, Iack Miller, and Daska Phelps. The group appointed to write the by-laws and constitution con- sisted of Iirnmy Selig, Betty Bucker, and Hazel Burdett. The club has social meetings once a month. The club is sponsored by Mrs. Grace Bennett and C. F. Sanders.
