PAUL PETERSON: Guardg a scrappy little player, who handled the ball well. REI EOTGLE: Guardg a good defensive player, he always played as hard as he could. PCOKY TEES: Guardg he was as quick as a cat and good on defense. LEFTY MARTli: Forwardg a good all around player whose spe- cialty was left handed long shots.

Tryouts for cheerleading were held at the beginning of the year. Ambitious girls and one lone boy, Vivien Werkheiser, Betty Wesolowsky, Helen Hitt, Genevieve Hunsader, and Bill Draeb were finally selected. This lusty vocal quin- tet outdid itself in providing the school with a strong cheering section. Win or lose, voices were raised in loyal support of our team. Grace Larson was elected president, and Lee Ann Stradling, secretary-treasurer. The meetings were on alternate Thursdays, were well attended as the club has a membership of over a hundred. One dance was sponsored by the organization and held after the Kewaunee basketball game. ZWPQ -1
