A mastery of typing and short- hand is most essential to those who wish to obtain a position in the modern business world. Each junior high school student is required to take three years of general mathematics which briefly introduce him to algebra, geometry, and commercial arithmetic. In thc plane geometry class, sophomores are taught the ancient science of measure- ment. The course in advanced alge- bra is open to those juniors who have successfully completed plane geo- metry.
