l TDACIK There was a very good turnout for track this year, some good material and some not so good. After the culling out, Mr. Conley, with the help of Mr. Prichard, an old hand at the track game, developed a fairly strong team. After several practice meets, in which Strathmore placed high, the county meet was held. The B and C classes placed second and the three classes combined placed third in the whole meet. After the county track meet the teams elected their captains. Bob Beck- with was elected captain of the A'S: Ierry Boyer of the B'sp and Norman Clifford of the C'S. LIGHTWEIGHT FUDTIBALI. The lightweights had a very unsuccessful season in 1935. The team was a good one, but it just couldn't win. It would gain yardage very easily, but always in the wrong place and always, within ten yards of the goal line, there was a fumble. The sophomores had the best representation, with the juniors second and the seniors third. There were no freshmen on the team, but they form- ed a peewee squad and played against Lindsay and Exeter. I'l EAVYWEIIEHT BAS IYETISALL The heavyweights had a very successful season this year, winning five games out of the eight. Among these five games, two were won from our close but friendly rivals, Lindsay and Porterville. There were two very close games-one with Woodlake, which was won by them in the last few seconds by a long, arching basket: the other with Exeter, which they won by two points in an overtime game.
