This year's team started the season by trouncing Prep, and then by going on to pick up a sixteen-game winning streak, beating such teams as Harding at home by nine points to edging out a one-point victory over Central at the Brass Recreation Center for the first time in three years. Sharp-shooting Lou Horner teamed up with rangy Pete Greenwood and speedy Rich Marinaccio, to form a fast-working combination of rebounding and shooting. Dick Ross and Ted Robinson with plenty of experience under their belts are sure starters for next year. Coach Needham looks to Ted Robinson for the rebounding ace of the team. Ted was the second highest rebounder this year and controlled the boards in many games. The lone defeat of the season came by way of Harding at the latter's gym. Harding sank an in- credible 697 of their shots to win 94-68. The first game at New Haven gave Stratford a 57-52 win over a hard fighting New Britain Team. The quarter-final game was dropped to a fast-breaking, good-shooting team from Sacred Heart of Waterbury. This loss completed the season's record of eighteen wins and two defeats.
