Denzer, this year's Senoracle. Qgmmz do-.fa 145'-ff fixuuuafzd Our high school means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. lt's primarily a school of math, commerce, history, music, and science--a variety of courses to arouse the interest of each individual student. But that isn't all the school is teaching us. Responsibility, initiative, and private thinking are encouraged through discussions and participation in extra-curricular activities to fit us as young adults in a world ln which communism and democracy are each striving for domination. The freshmen find themselves in a new freedom from the old grade school and home regula- tions, while the seniors think seriously of colleges, vocations, and military service. But we aren't too much of a serious bunch, for we laugh and sing and play also. Our cheering and screaming during games, our enthusiasm and interest in the noon activities, the latest gos- sip echoing in the upper hall between classes, the shouts of the basketball boys from the gym- nasium after school, a typewriter pecking away in the office--these things, too, are our school. Strasburg High School is indeed one of laughter and learning. But now let's turn the pages and see who makes up the classes, faculty, and activities. learning.
