Steady now. Balance is the key word while in formation. Durlng a basketball game , Gayle Roberson turns to talk to a friend. "A cal-cu-la-tor, you big dummy. ' ' ' 'Whhhaaaat? ' ' "AW you know. A calculator. A machine that has a lot of different buttons on it that you can punch to add numbers with. Now do you understand? ' ' ' 'Yeah, I reckon so. But why a calculator on the front? Why not something like Uh . . . Uh . . . well, ya know! " "Well, I guess the main reason is that the annual staff liked it and it kinda represents this year at school. I mean, all the things that happened add up to one great year. ' ' "Ya gotta be kidding! Same 'ol school, same 'ol rules- - everything's just the same. Now you tell me what's so great about it. NX-,. ' -ug- Even when it's a little too breezy on the breezeway, students enjoy their break. .QS Cheered by fans, , Tomcats race from the locker room. Headed for class, George Redeemer greets a friend. ' 'Well for one thing, we got a badly needed addition to the school - a music department. And both the band and choir have done great at all their contests. And the science museum. All the advanced science students worked real hard on it and it looks great. And then there's the ' 'Little House. " You know, the consumer math and reading classes meet there . And the athletic events. Everyone enjoyed them even if we did.n't put our name on the map with fantastic football scores. But we sure made up for that dining basketball season. And then there were all the other activities we had. Like pep- rallies, the mini-halloween carnival, hillybilly day, homecoming week, the , prom, Christmas holidays, spring holidays, and even a few icy cold holidays. Now, tell me nothing happened! Hey! Why am I telling you this? Have you even looked at the annual closely? " "Naw. Like I already told you, I only looked for my picture . ' ' ' 'Then why don't you take a look and , , I v nin see what you think about it Ope g 7
