To meet the increase in enrollment. many new teachers have been added to the Stockton High School faculty Among them are Miss Schwab and Mr Tribolet social studies Miss Eaton and Miss Saw English Miss Scott music Mrs Schuler who has returned to teach office methods and appliances Mrs Solomon and Mrs Lorennn Girls Physical Education Mr Seghctti Boys Physical Education assisting in football and coach of the baseball team Mr liwingston science Miss Standerfer former supervisor of art in the elemen tarv schools of the city now head of the Art De partment at Stockton High School and Mr J P Greenwood science During the past two years several teachers have left to join the armed forces Alden l-l Smith former English and dramatics teacher and now a sergeant in the Army. is serving in France. Lt. Fred Solomon with the Navy was former foot- ball coach. Mr. Robert Clarke. former Com- mercial English teacher, is now serving in the South Pacific. May as head. has .1 wide variety of sports to offer the girls of Stockton High School 'I he QB and 9A elasses hate long ball flash ball bounce ball hit pin tennis and volley ball Instructors for the freshman classes are Mrs May Miss Kathleen Mitchell and Mrs Fred Solomon Archery none court basketball and ring vol ley are played by 10B and IOA students Sopho more instructors are Mrs lorenzen Mrs Solomon and Miss Mitchell Miss G U Bliss Mrs Solomon and Mrs Lorenzen instruct juniors also Their classes play paddle tennis table tennis horse shoes deck tennis field ball and soft ball The seniors instructed by Mrs Marjorie Sheridan play hockey soft ball and volley ball All recreational sports are learned when the girls are juniors.
