It was the good ship Stivers High Thar sailed upon life's changing sea;
Her sails were spread, all spirits high,
A gallant crew had she.
Her port shown far, a distant star,
Her goal ideals attained.
And every year that she had sailed,
New laurels she had gained.
Heigho, Heigho, Stivers High,
Heave Ho lads with a joyful cry. Good luck, good luck Stivers High, Sail on Stivers High.
But Io a change comes o’er the sea,
The storm Kings banner far is flung;
The pilot starts, "Ahoy” cries he "Another victory won.”
Then every lad springs to his place,
The lasses cheer them on.
And though great storms come on a pace, They staunchly sing this song:
Heigho, Heigho, Stivers High, Heave Ho lads with a joyful cry. Good luck, good luck Stivers High, Sail on Stivers High.
Each year the good ship touches port And sets ashore an eager crew.
Come battles now of every sort To Stivers we’ll be true.
Each eye is trained, trained is each hand. Life’s lessons we'll learn well,
And in our hearts on sea or land These words shall ever dwell:
Heigho, Heigho, Stivers High, Heave Ho lads with a joyful cry. Good luck, good luck Stivers High, Sail on Stivers High.
—31—These arc our "Evcrfaithfuls,” they have led our team through many victories and through a few loses. Ncvcr-th-lcss they have always been there, and they have never let us or our teams down.
You could probably compare them with the mailcarricr, through rain, sleet, snow or hail the cheers must be there. So to show our appreciation we give you a pat upon the back and congratulate you for a job well done.

QUEEN SANDY DARBY
The wind, the leaves, a kiss by the football captain, orange and black ribbons—These are memories which will always be held dear by the Stivers Homecoming Queen, past or present. Sandy Darby was crown at the half-time ceremonies by the captains of the football team, Larry Harris and Steve Frederick. The members of her court were seniors; Pat Kegley, Joyce Pittl, and Sue Wiegert. The juniors were Janie Byrd, Della Olbers, and Sandy Wyatt. Although Roosevelt beat us by a score of 26 to 14, the dance afterwards at the Stivers gym, made up for the loss.
