HE semor year of hlgh school IS a nostalglc one for most of us As we prepare to
leave the walls of our second home, Stlllwater Central ' we flnd the leave takmg
somewhat easxer when we recall the many memorles our twelve years have left to us
We remember so well, when as scared lxttle fxrst graders we were 1ntroduced to
school and M1ss Dunmgan our flrst teacher It s hard to belleve we once looked lxke th1s
X SQ CQw
The next September found us less scared and even ant1c1pat1ng the return to school
and second grade We were d1v1ded 1n sectlons that year and had 2 teachers M1ss
Fuller and M1ss Stephens Know Mrs Hutton!
ln our thrrd year M1ss Stephens was agaln our teacher Our followmg grade
years were completed wlth the follow1ng teachers Mrs Mohan Mrs Chase and Mrs
Darrow
In 7th grade we were 1ntroduced to changlng rooms for classes M1ss Bouchard
our homeroom teacher, taught us most of our subjects and Mr Borst endeavored to
make Jumor s1ze Emstems of us In the exghth grade Mr Dalton was our homeroom
teacher and also taught us Engllsh and Math Mrs Hxllman and Mr Cmella taught us
sclence and Mrs Fmch taught us Soclal Studles We then recelved our erghth grade
dlplomas and the t1cket to enter hlgh school
Our f1rst stop here was our Freshman Year M1ss Powers was our homeroom
teacher and faculty adv1sor Some of our boys went out for sports and some of the
glrls were on the cheerleadmg squad Our teachers that year were commerce M1ss
Powers Soclal Studles Mrs Fmch, sc1ence, Mr Borst French Mrs Connors and
Engllsh Mr Dalton Th1s frrst year went by 1n a flash It seemed, and then came our
Sophomore year M1ss Rourke adv1sed us and was our homeroom teacher that year
We began our campa1gn to ra1se money for the Semor trlp We sponsored a play
dances and several food sales In our Jumor year M1ss Rourke was agam our adv1sor
We also sponsored food sales and dances that year but the 1mportant dance of the year
was the J umor Prom wh1ch was held on May 21 w1th Garry Stevens and hrs orchestra
furmshmg the muslc Another very 1mportant event that year was rece1v1ng our class

Clam Poem
The greatest day of all our years
Is Graduatlon and now It nears
So for the Class of 50 I ve somethlng to sa
Ere we leave SCS on our Graduat1on Day
F1rst 1n our Class there s the lad named CASE
He s found h1mself an 1mportant place
For class of 50 he s the Prez
Best there ever was or IS
Percy Aldrxch and her flam1ng red ha1r
Has a temper to match and takes a dare
But she s pr1vate property all boys agree
She has eyes only for Eddle B
How1e Baker s qu1te a WISE hand
He certa1nly knows about farm1ng land
He also creates qu1te a sensat1on
Wlth h1S Lover Boy ' reputat1on
Mar1e Barbolt has a pleasant Smlle
And on a telephone she l1kes to d1al
Sonny Cu1lla s number IS her own
Wedd1ng horns for them w1ll soon be blown
Has a face we often call poker
He s full of pep and full of fun
He s the fr1end of everyone
Mar1lyn Cow1n Mac by name
Has 1n th1s world but one a1m
Th1s IS to be wlth Joe on the farm
Even 1f they have to l1ve 1n the barn
Percy Dodd s a farmer s lad
In h1s stud1es not good not bad
In school he IS so very qu1et
But once outs1de he s a r1ot
Eleanor Ga1lor our show gal
Is thought by all to be a pal
She does 1m1tat1ons that are really great,
If ever on rad1o she ll surely rate'
Next ID our growlng l1ne
Is B1lly Hunter the lad always on t1me
'My work always done
Is a phrase that to B111 means only fun
Wherever we are there s always a demand
For Ann1e G1lgallon to be on hand
She s Jolly and peppy and full of fun
She s won the heart of everyone
Henry K1rby Hank by name
In basketball w1ll r1se to fame
One day he wants a house
And Barb w1th h1m as h1s lov1ng spouse
Elv1ra Gleeson that Crow H111 g1rl
Certa1nly gzves the guys a wh1rl
But we have no compla1nts agamst our pal
You must agree she s qu1te a gall
B1ll McLaughl1n s a woman hater
He ll fall tho for a sweet Utermater
He sets up p1ns every n1ght
For bowlers who often make a strlke
Marllyn Lalsdell buddy of Ellle G
Is full of v1m v1gor and Vltallty
She l1ves 1n the country on a farm
She s l1ked by all because of her charm
Ray Parker Clark Gable s compet1t1on
Never asked for our perm1ss1on
When he grew that famous mustache
Wh1ch looked l1ke the real class
Nancy La1sdell who s a popcorn eater
Is a good customer for any theater
She also l1kes many other th1ngs
Includ1ng beaut1ful dlamond r1ngs
W1ll surely make good some day
He passes h1s t1me 1n h1S father s shop
Noth1ng W111 stop h1S reach1ng the top
Rosemary Lake B1lly s flame
In basketball plays a n1ce game
Her a1m 1n l1fe IS a nurse to be
So she can Slt on the Doctor s knee
D1ck Sherman IS next 1n l1ne
H1s personal1ty we call f1ne Y
D1ck s dr1v1ng glves h1s reputat1on
Of belng SCS s true sensat1on'
Joan Mac Chesney has a good mmd,
And soon we re sure to f1nd
That 1f everyth1ng tends to go her way
She ll be a secretary some future day
B1lly S1mmons that black eyed wonder
Very seldom pulls a blunder
In class he s s1mply great
Klf he s on t1me and not ten mmutes latel
Martha Murray not too often 1n class
Has a good bra1n and IS sure to pass
Bobby takes up all her spare t1me
A cute couple they are do they sh1ne'
Pass1ng the t1me work1ng on a farm
Seems to hold a SPGCIHI charm
At least Gerry W1ll1ams f1nds It so
And worklng at Pratt s he ought to know

Natalle Murray W1th her laugh un1que
Always awakens the class each week
Except for the txmes she falls asleep
Due to the late hours .T 1m makes her keep
Sylvla Osborn Wee Wa s flame
In l1fe has but one a1m
Th1s IS to be Wee Wa s wlfe
To stay w1t.h h1m the rest of her l1fe
Patty Phelps a cheerful lass
Looks to the future and forgets the past
fD1ck Delmer, Donnle, and Freddlel
And now we see her engaged to Eddze
Donnalle Rob1nson the qulet type
Usually slts at home at mght
She does her homework as you see
As for a professxon a nurse she hope to be
Dotty Stephens on our yearbook staff
A g1rl who has no trouble at all
Is Allce Whrte both pretty and tall
She hopes a secretary to be
W1th a boss who has a comfy knee
Nancy Wh1ttle wlth the mce blond ha1r
Has a speclal charm that s very rare
We all hope she w1ns the score
By becommg a teacher 1n 54
The last rlme IS done for each pupll dear
Oh! Just a mmute I forgot I was here
Germame Lavertue not long a slngle gal
You can always f1nd do1ng the town wlth Al
The last exght people you w1ll agree
IS each one a g1rl mcludmg me
We may not go down ln the Hall of Fame
But 1n school we had our fun just the same
The teachers of th1s school I know
W4
