FOOTBALL 1952
The Gopher team had a fairly successlul season tnis year
Our victories were the result of patient work by coaches, Toensing
and Phifer, and our defeats from lack of conridence, probably
because of numerous injuries
We lost our first five games, but finished up with two wins,
which restored our confidence for next year This probably
indicates a lot of fight and ability to come up rrom behind All
in all, though, the team functioned as a unit, and many improve -s
ments were made
Below are the scores of the games 114'
