So do schools. Our annual is one tradition of Steele High School, Steele , Missouri, What is a tradition? A tradition is said to be a custom, culture, belief or practice handed down through the years, Traditions become a part of the people concerned, They are a treasured page in our book of mem ories, They are vital, living phases of our lives, How drab our existence without them! This tradition which you now hold is one which we hope will never cease to be a joy to you. University of Arkansas M. S. T. A. M. S. T. A. SENIOR MESSAGE At the present moment the most fascinating subject of our thoughts is in the future--our future. What will it be? Whatever problems shall puzzle us, whatever difficulties confront us, may we always have the courage of our convictions and the faith in ourselves that is so essential if we are to make our dreams a reality, We are grateful to our school and wish for it an increased growth and prosperity. We feel our instructors from first grade through high school are providing the best instruction available and pro- viding it with most sincere interest. May our Board of Education, which has always consistently and admirably fulfilled its duties, find a reward in the achievements of boys and girls who graduate from Steele High school. To the non-teaching personnel whose services cannot be overestimated we are grateful. As we join the alumni, may we bring honor to the school of which we are so soon to be grad- uated, May we cooperate with our administrators to whom we owe our inspiration and whatever measure of success we may achieve. To the student body may we say with McCrae, "To you from falling hands we throw the torch.
