We have known this man in many capacities: teacher, adviser, administrator and
judge. We have felt for him both respect and fury. He stands out in a crowd as one
who can retain his individuality and beliefs even in a great sea of madness. We can
say that we love him. We can say that we need him. We can say that he was there.
For these reasons we "strongly suggest" that classes in the future appreciate the
compassion and true friendship of joseph Spirio. A

Time Changes people. people change with timeg
For this is the revolution of life!
For nothing ever stops changing, except forthe change
from life to death, for death is the final epitome of life.
So fight for what you helieve in and say.
For time and change are our lives

SHELLEY JUNE RUSSEK
Fly silly seabird. No dreams can possess you. No voices can blame you for sun on
your wings. My gentle relations have names they must call me for loving the free-
dom of all flying things. My dreams with the Seagulls fly out of reach, out of Cry.
I came to the city and lived like old Crusoe on an island of noise in a cobblestone
sea. And the beaches were concrete and the stars paid a light bill and the blossoms
hung false on their store window trees. My dreams with the seagulls fly out of
reach, out of cry.

The 1971 SIA Tigers brought home the sixth
MAAPS championship trophy since 1942 when the
Academy formed its first soccer team. The trophy
was last acquired by the 1963 Tigers whose roster
included P. Rapp, this season's winning coach. Be-
low are some comments by Coach Rapp on the vic-
torious 1971 SIA Tigers.
"Late in the 1970 season, the team began to work
hard and realize its capabilities. The individual
players put out a tremendous effort to play a team
oriented game. That work and that effort were pre-
sent from the very beginning of the 1971 seasonf,
"There was not one unique factor that carried us to
the championship. The most obvious driving force
of the team was the desire to win. Another contrib-
uting factor was our aggressiveness and refusal to
quit or even slow down during a game regardless of
the score or time. VVe had no stars. We played as a
team and 'out-hustled, all our opponentsfl.
