The site was chosen because of Sedalia ' s geographic location, good transportation and attractive labor force, according to Charles N. Anderson, company president. LOWER LEFT: American Disinfecting Company, better known as ADCO, Inc., has been supplying the world ' s needs as manufacturing chemists from their home offices in Sedalia for more than 70 years. BELOW: Workers at the ).A. Lamy Manufacturing Company turn out stacks of Levi ' s brand clothing daily. The company began operation in 1867, six years after Sedalia was founded.
