Rodeo (Continued from Page 166) rodeo teams that a new star was peeking over the horizon, the 1978-79 season should have. The Roadrunners came on strong this year with the men ' s team winning every intercol- legiate rodeo in which they have participated. Cinderella team or not, they are currently leading the nation in total team points scored per rodeo, and have the top three individuals in the United States in the men ' s all-around standings. Joe Peabody, at the time the Exhibitor went to press, had a total of 602.5 points to lead all the other cowboys. Dug Dugan was second with 525 points, and Terry McCutcheon was third with 455 total points. After four rodeos, SFCC had a total of 2,320 points, the highest team score in the region. Arkansas State University was second with 1,345 points, and the University of Tennessee, last year ' s regional winner, was in third place with 775 points. Our team has grown from nine members last year (eight boys and one girl), to a total of 24 members. Several individuals are also leading in event competition. Dan Bailey has 200 points to lead the bareback riding, while Joe Peabody is second with 190, and Dug Dugan stands third with 125. Dug Dugan is leading the saddlebronc riding with 440 points, with Peabody second with 250. Terry McCutcheon is first in the steer wrestling event with 220 points and Kenny Heman is fourth with 150 points. Terry McCutcheon and Kenny Heman are third and fourth in the team roping competition with 130 and 115 points, respectively. Under the rules of the National intercol- legiate Rodeo Association, there is no classifica- tion of institutions according to size. A smaller two-year or four-year college competes on an equal basis with the larger colleges and universities. — Thurm Lowery
