Beginning their year of activities in the auditorium of Roosevelt Junior High were the Bookworms, where they elected their city-wide officers. The first edition of the Banner was a six-page publication, a first for Star- Spencer. To brighten the Christmas holiday, the Christmas issue appeared in green print. With the aid of the Bobcat staff, Banner reporters hosted a Christmas Brunch in honor of the faculty.
