Music Tunes echo Through holls Catchy rhythms and lyrics packed with meaning held a special intrigue for students interested in the vocal and instrumental classes composing Star- Spencer's music department. Vocalists sang in Select Choir, Glee Club, Madrigal, or Boys' and Girls' Sextets. Instrumental music was divided into two categories, band and orchestra. Stage Band and marching band were conducted by Mr. Joe Patton. Serious musicians studied principles of har- mony and types of music in Music Theory class. Color guards and maiorettes set the pace for the band. TOP: Senior High band practices keeping in tune. ABOVE: Practicing for orchestra is a pastime for Frank Bates, sr.
