Outstanding Senior BARBORA KAY MARTIN One of the highest honors that a senior can receive is being selected Out- standing Senior by vote of the high school faculty. This year the honor was won by Barbora Kay Martin. Barbora Kay will always be remembered around SCHS for her pleasant personality and friendly, cooperative spirit. In addition to maintaining a high scholastic record, she participated in many extracurricular activities and served in positions of leadership in many organizations. She was elected to the National Honor Society in her junior year and during her high school years participated in the Girls' Choir (3 Years). Student Council (1 Year). Future Teachers (2 Years). Safe Drivers Club (2 Years), Press Club (2 Years). Com- mercial Club (1 Year). Sharps and Flats (1 Year), was a member of the Junior Play Cast and the Senior Play Cast. She served as secretary of the class in both her junior and senior year, and during her senior year was Circulation Manager of the ROCKET and Co-Editor of the STAR. Another honor which she won was the Betty Crocker Homemaker Award. Barbora Kay was also active in church activities having sung in her church choir for four years, and served as secretary for her class in both Sunday School and Training Union.
