Even though the Stanfield Tigers finished the season 3-9, the team had some high lights. The Tigers won a big game against the Riverside Pirates with a score of 27 - 0. The team added to that with a win over Sherman County for a Homecoming Victory- The team had some outstanding players this year. Shawn Martuscelli (Quarterback) and Eric MacPerson (Wide Receiver) made the 1st Team All Conference. Sophomore Brady Collinsworth (Center) made the 2nd Team All Conference. Several other players made Honorable Mention All Conference. They are: Shawn Martuscelli, (Defensive Back), Eric MacPherson (Defensive Back), Will Lemmon (Guard and Line Backer), and Dusty Grogan (Wide Receiver and Line Backer). The Tigers are hoping for a better season next year when they have a more experienced team. But, they are sure to be a favorite in Stanfield. VOLLEYBALL The Volleyball team had an outstanding season this year. Even though they lost their first match at district, they still lived up to their expectations for the year. The teams had a new coach this year, Treva Carter, who did a fine job with the team. She moved in and took her new team to a Second Place finish in the Columbia Basin Conference. The team had outstanding players for the season that were picked by the coach. Tracy Kramer walked away with the Most Improved player on the team. Stephanie Zabransky received the Oustand-ing Defensive player and received a spot on the All Conference 2nd Team. Outstanding Offensive player went to Lindy Porfily who also made a place for herself on the 1st Team All Conference. The Coach’s Award went to senior Gail Kramer who made the All Conference 2nd Team. Junior Jennifer Hummell made the All Conference 2nd Team. Junior Jennifer Hummell made the All Conference 1st Team this year. Next year should prove to be as prosperous as this year’s.
