As we build our minds, so must we build our bodies, Through physical edu- cation. Our new era demands more from us than just mental dexterity. We live in an age where total fitness is a by-word. We must have endurance and stamina to survive in this atmosphere or the stratospheres of the unknown. Reflect on the music in your life 4 is it jazz, the expression of the frenzied world in which we live? Is it classical music, that has endured in its beauty? Is it rock 'n roll that attracts you because it is different '? Whatever you choose, the beauty of a concerto, the serenity of a hymn, or the brisk invitation of a brass band, music is the universal ioy of eter- nal significance. Our teachers, dedicated men and wo- men, have taken the raw energy of youth and converted it into the fuel for maturity. They have instilled in us the thrill of new discoveries, the force and power of the written and spoken word, andthe satisfaction that comes with the acquisition of knowledge. They have made music and art an integral part of our lives, and have given us the ability to appreciate the talents of others. They have exemplified integrity, dedication, intelligence, and confidence. Clearly, they and their ideas have influenced our minds and our hearts as no other combined force and have exquisitely prepared us for this world . . .or any other.
