On the basis of this showing, the Tigers shared second place honors with Aberdeen and Lincoln in the Capital League and tied with Bellarmine and Lincoln for the City Championship. Although two recovered Lincoln fumbles gave Stadium an early advantage in the first game of the Grid-Co-Round, the Abes took advantage of a penalty and an intercepted pass to roll up a yardage victory. In the consolation game, Clover Park displayed a fast, well-polished offense and chalked up an easy 13-0 win over the Tigers. The Lincoln Abes captured the trophy by virtue of their 12-0 triumph over the Bellannine Lions. Following the Grid-Co-Round, the Bengals again opposed the Lincoln Abes in the King's-X game. Stunned by a quick Lincoln touchdown set up by a Stadium fumble, the Tigers fought back with a sustained scoring drix e. Rcbounding from the Lincoln defeat, the Tigers traveled to Seattle to crush the O'Dea Irish 30-0. The Bengals scored in every quarter and kept the undermanned Irish offense bottled up most of the evening. In the next game, Stadium earned its first Capital League victory at the expense of the Hoquiam'Crizzlies. A hard- charging line, elusive backs, and pass interceptions made the 19-6 win possible. The Tigers tallied their 19 points before the visitors could score. Ccontinued on page 29D LARRY STIZNBIQRG 1275 STU HENDERSON QZIJ ED KINT2 B03 LEVINSON JOHN HEINRICK C0'C3PUln Asst.
