Peeewe ?aar!ZaZZ Facing seven opponents, the reserve team, coached by Mr. Healy, won two games from Kent, while losing two each to Lincoln and Bellarmine and one to Clover Park. Many reserve players went to the varsity squad as they improved. Ray Lopez and Bob Simms were the mainstays in the reserve backfield all season long. X ROW 1: Frank Constantino, Jerry Kershner, Ron Angus, Wayne Buck, Tom Falk, Bob Duppenthaler. ROW 2: Frank Fletcher, Ken Martin, Jack Tucker, Jim Stevens, Dick Simms, Ted Johnson. ROW 3: Bob Simms, Sammie McCarte, Ray Lopez, Sonny Yaconetti, Dick Peterson, Jim Fitzsimmons. Sa amaze aaifalf Coached by Mr. Sheedy and Mr R. Johnson, the sophomore football team began the season with a 6-6 tie with Puyallup. They followed with a win and two defeats with Lincoln and a loss to Puyallup. They ended their season handing a 24-O loss to Bethel. Tom Stoliker and Bill Udall were elected honorary captains. ROW 1: Jack Kennedy, Tinker Davies, Charles Barnes, Stef Thordarson, Ron Pretti, Doug Blankenship, Barry Wiley. ROW 2: Mr. Sheedy, Bob Dawson, Medrick Broussard, Bill Watson, Marvin Shain, Luther Bradford, Bill Redfield, Harding Roe. ROW 3: David Harrison, Fred Muntz, Pat Barnes, Bob Garletts, Dave Long, Bill Udall, Tom Stoliker, Gordon Swenson. ROW 4: Bob Aitken, Earl Carter, Bob Charter, Don Molstrom, Bill Streater, Tom Orchard. Me eadew Every year Stadium schedules lO hikes. The purpose is to provide another method by which to earn a hobby point for a girl's athletic award. The standard distance of the hike is five miles and each girl must have attended five hikes to obtain her point. Two leaders are chosen for each hike. 74a Skating 66445 lce Skating Club is one of Stadium's most popular clubs. The club has worked with the affiliation committee and spon-- sored several ice skating parties. Officers for both semesters were: Presi- dents, Pauline Parr, Ruth Birkenstock, vice presidents, Shirley Cornell, Doreen Nilsson, secretaries, Janis Pinder, ldellen Haakin- son, treasurers, Ruth Birkenstock, Janis Pinder, sergeant at arms, Shirley Boyle. The adviser was Miss Fenenga. ROW 1: Janis Pinder, Ruth Birkenstock, Katherine Polo, Pauline Parr, Shirley Cornell, Doris Wade, Vicki Westlin. ROW 2: Lois Anning, Caroline Cochrane, Marilynn Nelson, Allyne Rendel, Charline Dickinson, Laura Lindsay, Sandra Gesch. ROW 3: Barb Mellum, Margie Sund, Lois Herzog Elaine Anderson, Diane Albrigtson, Charlotte Wiecking Charlotte Aylsworth. ROW 4: Ann Sohlberg, Lorna Glad- stone, Sonie Carsfensen, Sandy Siefken, Shirley Boyle, Doreen Nilsson, Roberta Salisbury. 1 1 Editing em Riding Club met every Thursday evening at the homes of members. They planned speakers and movies, fed and clothed a needy family at Christmas, attended horse shows, planned and staged a spring horse show. Officers were: President, Barbara Risley, vice president, Leanne Holmberg, secretary, Marie Palin, treasurer, Phyllis Krum, sergeant at arms, Char Crossman. WWW WMM With approximately. 350 girls turning out for speedball, the first of the fall sports, Mary Lee Thompson and her iunior team took top honors by defeating Ethyl Evans' team. Girls on the winning team were: Diane Albrightson, Joan Asplund, Pat Bergsten, Leila Dewey, Donna Mani, Joan Meyers, .lean Niethammer and Marilyn Olson.
