One oT The TirsT Things done This year was The re-esTablishrnenT oT The aTTiliaTion wiTh Luisen- schule in DusseldorT, Germany. Don Flora, Bob Lewis, Bev ShoTwell and JenniTer Youngman were chosen To head The aTTiliaTion commiTTee. All The clubs aT STadium parTicipaTed in This proiecT and senT books, records and oTher maTerial ThaT The German sTudenTs could use. The enTire school boughi Them a phonograph as a ChrisTmas presenT, and STadium has received a beauTiTul painTing Trom Them. STudenT Council also broughT Two exchange German Teachers and a sTudenT To visiT The school. They were Dr. Dora Wagner Trom W. S.C. and Dr. GerTrude Gerber and Ingrid Schneider Trom GarTield l-ligh School in SeaTTle. Ed Coy and Bev Dobry were co-chairmen oT FooTball NighT, one oT The year's highlighTs. All The skiTs and individual acTs were based on The Theme. The Golden TwenTies. Joe Turco was lvl. C. oT The show, while KurT Karmin, Darell Nelson and Ron TaTum were The sTooges. KurT Karmin and PaT Kohl were co-chairmen oT The dance aTTerwards. STadiana received The skiT Trophy and Jean Lowman and Gene Johnson Took Top honors Tor The individual acTs. Under The guidance oT Mr. STreeTer, The 35 STudenT Council members carried ouT a greaT num- ber oT oTher proiecTs during The year. The members each spoke Tor his organizaTion, and TogeTher accomplished a greaT deal Tor The school as a whole. STudenT Council was in charge oT The P. A. announcemenTs each morning, and diTTerenT members were chosen To speak during The year. The selling oT BoosTer TickeTs was anoTher successTul idea. The Tunds raised Trom This drive enabled STadium To carry on ils spring sporTs program, wiTh The highlighT oi This campaign, The TaculTy-l-li-Y basketball game. The members also sold colorTul STa- dium book covers and license plaTes To aid The acTiviTy Tund. ln addiTion The group senT Byron Dodge To a leadership convenTion aT The U. oT W., and held a lunchroom-clean-up drive. They inviTed The EvereTT High School STudenT Council To visiT The school and enTerTained Them beTore The EvereTl-STadium TooTball game Nov. IO. STadium visiTed EvereTT in The same manner beTore The baseball game lvlay ll. During The spring monThs everyone in STudenT Council spenT one period a week To help clean up The school grounds, and The enTire group worked TogeTher To produce Their impressive TloaT in The daTTodil parade.
