GAROLD GRAY RON JOHNSON President Vice President Proudly upholding the traditions of its prede- cessors, the Class of 1950 wrote Huis to three years of fulfilled promises and enriching experi- ence. Efficient leadership was given the group by Garold Gray, president, Ron Johnson, vice presi- dent, Mary Ellen Long, secretaryg Beverly Lich- tenwalter, treasurer, Lois Secreto, girls' represent- ative to Student Council, and Chuck Anderson, Boys' representative. Miss Fenenga and Mr. F. jones were the advisers. Leading the class as juniors were: President, Maris Anderson, vice president, George Fleming, secretary, Janet Carlson, treasurer, Dorothy Pow- ellg girls' representative, Beverly Lichtenwalter, and boys' representative, Art McDonald. Sophomore officers included Bob Bethke, presi- dent, jerry Beardsley, vice president, Margie Clin- ton, secretaryg Nancy Rodman, treasurer, Janie Magnuson, girls' representative, and Perry Mc- Rae, boys' representative. The first senior function to be presented was the rollicking class play, which starred janet Carlson and Ken Tollackson as the dramatic leads and Don- na Moore and Sid Bowe in the comedy roles. Marleigh Udall and Bob Cammarano were co-chairmen for the annual senior ball which had as its theme, Midnight Masquerade. Clinging to the holiday atmosphere, Anita Roberts and Bob Witter chose Coney Island for the name of the senior sweater dance. Because of its popularity the preceding year, Sadie Hawkins week was again olwerved, with Bette Burnett and jerry Beardsley responsible for planning and supervising the events. In addition to their other duties, the following seniors were Girls' Club officers: President, Maris SENIOR CLASS Anderson, vice president, Mary,,,AQn,,jggovichg secretary, Barbara Hokanson, and treasurer, Bnetty Hurlong, who was also chosen as Daffodil Prin- cess. Heading the various departments were: Social, Janet Christofersong welfare, Dorothy Powell, service, Delores Burns, and fellowship, Virginia Lee. A Active in journalism were Joyce Anderson, Ta- homa editor, and Frank van Aalst and Fred Holmes, fall and spring Wcirld editors, respective- ly. Climaxing a busy year for the upper classmen was their long awaited senior week, which was dir- ected by Mary Ann u ovich and Dick Long. Bur- tine Beal and Tom Ba er were in charge of the senior banquet, and the senior talent assembly, which was overseen by Dona Rockway and Bob Monoghan, brought the week to a fitting close. Four seniors, Bonnie Boze, lanet Carlson, Mary Ellen Long and Frank van Aalst, were responsible for organizing Stadium's third national honorary, the Shield Honor Society. Incoming pupils will no longer be puzzled when they hear others talking of meeting Wunder the clock , for thanks to the Senior Class, a beautiful four-sided cabinet clock now hangs in the front hall. The Class of 1950 may not be long remembered among succeeding graduating groups, but they, like all others, will always have the memory of three eventful and wonderful years. For these students, high school days were completed, and wearing blue caps and gowns, they received their diplomas at commencement exercises in the Col- lege of Puget Sound Field House.
