Working with Dave were the other cabinet members: Ken Olson, vice president, Gene Desseau, secretary, and Donn Foreman, treasurer. Mr. Streeter acted as Councils adviser. So that a larger membership would be pres- ent, the Council succeeded in holding their meetings during school time. Parliamentary procedure was used in conducting the meetings. One oi the biggest achievements of the year was the framing ot a new revised constitution for the organization. This was decided alter KLJ Oi.SO.- GEAE -ESSEAU DO J.. FCREJAJ Vzfe Pres1den: Secretary Tyaegugq many discussions over the formation of a completely new charter. The new stairways presented another prob- lem for the governing body, but it was easily taken care of by a Council committee which had temporary signs placed on the stairways, later replaced by permanent signs painted on the walls. As in the past years, Football Night was one of the biggest student productions of the fall semester. loann Estey and Hubert Watson were chosen co-chairman by Student Council and undertook the direction of Bengal Black- outs, the theme of l948's pre-Turkey Day program. As M.C., Pete Wallerich's subtle hu- mor was supplemented by the antics of the stooges, Ron Bloom, Dick Loren and Bob Ragsdale. Ieanne Berry and Terry Wais were co-chairmen of the dance following Football Night, The annual exchange assembly with Lin- coln was held in May, headed by lim Mc- Gavick as M.C., and directed by Co-Chairmen Peggy lVlCNerthney and Bart Redfield.
